Students Needed to Discuss Accessibility & AI

In Their Own Words: How Students Use AI to Make Learning More Accessible

NWHeat and Every Learner Everywhere are recruiting about four students to participate in an online panel discussion about how you use AI tools to overcome barriers and enhance access to your academic resources. Examples might include:

  • adapt inaccessible content;
  • use speech-to-text or text-to-speech to improve comprehension;
  • transcribe lectures for later study;
  • generate Alt text;
  • translate content.

The Zoom webinar will take place on November 13, 2025, Noon – 1pm (Pacific time).

What you’ll do:

  • Participate in planning emails and calls
  • Join the Zoom event 15 minutes early (11:45am) on November 13
  • Participate in a 1-hour Zoom panel with other students for educators who support digital accessibility in higher education

Panelists will receive a $250 stipend for a 1-hour panel discussion, plus planning sessions.

Interested? Please tell us a little more about yourself and how you use AI tools to facilitate accessibility in your academic work.

Thank you!
